Varanasi brings its own practical challenge. In the old city, a door may have to travel down narrow lanes and fit into an opening that has never been a standard size, while in Lanka, Sigra, Shivpur and the newer colonies, modern homes want something cleaner. Megastar Doors & Windows supplies steel doors in Varanasi for both, from our factory in Panipat, Haryana.
Old houses, unusual openings
Heritage homes often have thick walls and openings that vary by a few centimetres from top to bottom. Measure carefully, and tell us about the wall and the old frame. We can make customised sizes where a standard door will not fit. It also helps to check how the door will reach your home, as lanes can limit what can be carried in.
Doors that work well here
- Paritosh single doors for compact entrances.
- Vasudha mother and son doors for a wood look at wider openings.
- Hinged double doors for homes and offices.
- Mild steel doors for shops and guest houses.
Built for the Ganga plains
Hot summers, humid monsoons and termites all shorten the life of a wooden door. Steel doors are designed to resist water, rust and termites, so they suit homes, shops and guest houses that see heavy daily use.

Common questions from Varanasi buyers
Can a door be delivered to a home in a narrow lane?
Often yes, but it depends on the lane and the size of the door. Please tell us about the access to your home when you order, including any tight turns or stairs. It is best to plan this before the door is made, so that there are no surprises on delivery.
Are steel doors suitable for guest houses?
Yes. Guest houses and hotels need doors that take heavy daily use and need little upkeep. Steel single doors work well for storage and service areas, and our wood-finish models look right at the entrance. Send us the sizes and quantities for a quotation.
